New Delhi: Taking note of bulk booking of tickets by Rail Travellers Service Agents, a parliamentary committee has observed that such illegal activities continue due to the "active connivance" of the railway officials.

Southern Railway announced new AC Weekly Express between Yesvantpur and Kochuveli.
Railways has reduced advance booking period from four months to two months from May 1st as part of its efforts to prevent touts from cornering bulk of tickets.

The advance reservation period (ARP) for booking reserved train tickets will be reduced from existing 120 days to 60 days (excluding the date of journey) from May 1st,  according to a Railway notification issued on Thursday.

The two leaders were officeholders of NCRKS US Mishra and Uday Raj Tiwari. The two Union leaders were returning to Allahabad after canvassing for the current railway union elections. Dearness Allowance 80% With Effect From 01-01-2013 –Approved By Central Government
          The Union Cabinet today in its meeting, gave its approval to release an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to central government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners w.e.f. 1.1.2013  representing an increase of 8% over the existing rate of 72% of the Basic Pay/Pension, to compensate for price rise. The increase is in accordance with the accepted formula, which is based on the recommendations of the 6th Central Pay Commission.
