NATIONAL INDUSTRIAL TRIBUNAL (NIT)

Every loco running staff of Indian railway knows that ever since the 6th CPC submitted its retrograde recommendation for loco running staff, AILRSA had been on war path with various modes of struggles all over Indian Railway. As a result in January 2012 National Industrial Tribunal (NIT) was constituted by labour ministry with retired High Court Judge Sri. Gowri Shankar Sharaff at Mumbai with terms of reference of Grade Pay, Running Allowance, Onerous duty allowance and revision of HOER.

After the retirement of Justice Gowri Shankar Sharaff, Justice Sri. S.P. Mehrotra, Judge, High Court, Allahabad is appointed.

AILRSA is represented by Adv. TC Govindaswamy, leading Advocate of High Court of Kerala and CAT Ernakulam.

On 16.06.2015, Sri. K Shankar, Director, Pay Commission , Railway Board filed proof affidavit in lieu of examination in Chief. Cross examination of that Railway witness fixed on Aug 6 & 7. And Railway requested for adjournment as their witness (Sri K Shankar) retires. Next date for cross examination is fixed on Sept 28 & 29.

On 28 Sept 2015 at NIT Mumbai:

After the retirement of Sri. K Shankar( witness from Railways, to be cross examined), Railway did not post a new person as witness. On 28.09.2015 Com DS Koparkar attended NIT Sitting at Mumbai on behalf of Secretary General. Court adjourned for cross examination of Railway witness on 27 November
