FRAUD IN GOVERNMENT FIGURES REGARDING NUMBER OF VACANCIES IN CENTRAL GOVERNMENT:

As per the brochure on pay and allowances recently uploaded in the finance ministry's website for 2014-15 there were only 4,21,658 vacancies in the central government including railways as on 1-3-2014 as against the 6,02,325 on 1-3-2014 available in the same website for 2013-14.This must mean that 2 lakh vacancies have been filled.

The trick is elsewhere actually the sanctioned strength of railways as on 1-3-2013 was shown as 15,76,788 and on roll as 13,07,109 in the 2013-14 brochure. But in the brochure for 2014-15 they have shown the figure of on rolls itself as sanctioned strength. According to the brochure on 2014-15 the sanctioned strength as on 01.03.2014 was 13,33,925 and the actual was the same. Therefore the sanctioned strength as on 01.03.2014 has been shown less by 2,42,863. Either the vacancies should have been surrendered or the figures have been manipulated to show reduced vacancies. To my RTI query the reply shows that there is no such drastic reduction in the number of sanctioned strength in any department. THERE FORE THE FIGURES HAVE BEEN DRASTICALLY REDUCED FRAUDULENTLY TO SHOW REDUCED NUMBER OF VACANCIES. According to the page 34 of the brochure for 2014-15 the sanctioned strength shown as 36,45,584 should be plus 2,42,863 and should be 38,88,447 and the strength on rolls being 32,23,926 the number of vacancies should be 6,64,521 as against 4,21,658
