Nagpur: The death of a loco pilot working with the Nagpur division of Central Railway is shrouded in mystery. The victim, identified as Rajesh Naksulwar (48), was run over by a goods train on the tracks besides platform number 1 on Wednesday. Railway officials are clueless how the mishap occurred.

Naksulwar was working as power controller in control office attached to divisional railway manager (DRM) building near station and had gone to the station for some official work.

Satyendra Shukla, senior divisional electrical engineer for traction rolling operation (TRO), said Naksulwar died after coming under the wheels of a goods train after he slipped from the brake van.

PRO PD Patil said there were no eyewitness to say how the accident happened. Naksulwar's body was spotted near the tracks by goods train guard MP Khatarkar. He stopped the train and station officials were informed.

Naksulwar was shifted to railway hospital in a critical condition, where he died due to excessive bleeding after losing both legs.
