AILRSA 5th SWR Zonal BGM at MYSURU on 11.04.15:

The 5th SWR Zonal BGM  is held at Com. RS. Pandian Nagar, (Rotary Centre, JLB Road, Opposite to Institution of Engineers) MYSURU on 11th April 2015.

A mass procession from Mysuru Railway station to the meeting venue was held, flag hoisting was done by Sri. R. Surendran, Working President, AILRSA SWR Zone. The meeting started after paying homage to the Martyrs column. Welcome address done by Sri C. Sunish General Secretary, AILRSA SWR and honouring of Guests by putting traditional MYSURU Peta.
The Conference inaugurated by Sri. AMANULLA KHAN, All India President, All India insurance employees association.
In his inaugural address Sri Amanulla Khan explained:
Privatization in Railways is going to be done in the ways of LIC where the profit making area is going to be hand over to private players; in other words the stress remains to be on the maximization of Profits and it is not going to be service oriented or for a social cause. You can see that there is no private insurance office in some of the northeastern part of the country like Nagaland and Mizoram, where only Public sector operates.  This also can be seen in many other service sectors, whether it is Airlines or any other service sector which is not profitable in these areas.   In the world Railway system in Africa nearly in 6 countries and in America nearly 17 countries partial privatisation done has totally failed in Railway network. The example of Indian Airlines is before us for the Ill effect of Privatization. When a Loco Pilot is working more than 13 hrs a day the concern of Railway Minister for the passenger’s safety is not fulfilled, how can you expect a tired loco pilot to work alertly if he is asked to work for more than 12 hours continuously?  FDI proposed in Railways is only for the maximization of profit of the multinational corporations and not for the poor people of India. Democracy is essential for trade union working and through the anti labour reforms made by the Modi Govt, which should be objected by all trade unions unitedly to defend the unity of the country and the people. Hence, need of the hour is to go for a united struggle in the interest of the nation and people of this country which is so diversified.
