First high speed train on Delhi-Agra sector on Nov 10
The
first high-speed train between Delhi and Agra with a speed of 160 km
per hour is expected to run on November 10 as Kapurthala Rail Coach
Factory is all set to roll out the first rake of fourteen coaches of the
train.
Rail Coach Factory (RCF) has manufactured
four coaches of the high speed train so far and the work was going on
war-footing to manufacture the remaining 10 coaches by November 10 to
turn out the first rake, RCF General Manager Pramod Kumar said on
Thursday.
The GM said the approximate cost of one high speed coach would be between Rs 2.25-2.50 crore.
He
said that high speed coaches manufactured in RCF for Shatabdi and
Rahdhani express trains are capable of running at the optimum speed of
160 kilometer per hour.
