Indigenous ways for Rail safety
The Statesman     04 Feb 2014
New Delhi,  3 February: An indigenous technology, a fusion of automatic train protection system  and anti-collision device functionality, will enable the Indian Railways to successfully minimise  accidents occurring due to human failure as well as help it  overcome the problem of trains running late due to fog in the winter.  With the anti-collision systems installed earlier achieving partial success, the Railways today announced installation of an indigenous and efficient technology to prevent train mishaps.   The Train Collision Avoidance System has shown positive results during its  trial run in South Central zone, said the member electrical, Railway Board.
