Several candidates who applied for group D posts in South Western Railways staged a demonstration here on Friday, against alleged irregularities in the recruitment process.
The candidates, who had qualified in both the written and physical efficiency tests staged the protest outside the office of the General Manager of SWR, and urged authorities to do them justice.
They said in the recruitment held for 3,007 group D posts, over 300 eligible candidates were left out while conducting the document verification of candidates who had qualified in both tests. The authorities had not given any justification for it. They said that many of them were poor and some had even discontinued their studies.
They submitted a memorandum to the SWR General Manager.
