Western Railway launches train with dynamic pricing

AHMEDABAD:
Western Railway has decided to introduce premium fare with dynamic
pricing on Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Jaipur routes. In the dynamic pricing train,
the fare will depend on the demand intensity, no waitlisted tickets
shall be issued and there will be no refund. Adult fare shall be charged
for all passengers irrespective of their age. No concession shall be
applicable to this train. Adult fare shall be charged for all passengers

India-China to collaborate on building semi-high speed rail

INDIA and China would look at collaborations in semi-high speed rail and building world-class railway stations. This was decided at the strategic and economic dialogue between the two countries earlier this month when an Indian delegation, headed by Planning Commission deputy chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia, had visited Beijing.

Central Railway plans DC/AC switch in May

MUMBAI: Central Railway plans to switch from 1,500 V direct current
(DC) to 25 KV alternating current (AC) on the entire suburban railway
stretch between Thane and CST by May, offering faster and more efficient
services. The deadline was set after railway board member Kul Bhusan
took stock of the conversion project last week.

NIT Case : Today, 24.03.14 Hearing was there at Mumbai. From AILRSA along with Adv TC Govinda Swamy, Com. MN Prasad, Com Badgujar, Com Geomy George etc attended.
AILRSA demanded for a stay to Empowered Committee. Railway clarified that after the announcement of 7th CPC , Empowered Committee kept in abeyance, hence demand of stay is avoided. Railway advocate submitted a few points before NIT. We will submit our counter on next date of argument on 05.05.2014 Monday.

Rail fracture might have caused accident, suspect CR motormen
Mumbai : The
motormen of the Central Railway are of the view that a rail fracture
might have caused the derailment of the 12-car CST-bound local between
Titwala and the Ambivali on Thursday. The motormen were also critical of
the Railways for the shoddy maintenance with regard to tracks, as they
feel it is the result of outsourcing of such works.

IRPA wants Railways implement CAT Orders
Chennai: Even as the Indian Railway
Pharmacists Association (IRPA) has won a case and got an order from the
Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Bangalore directing the Railway
Board to maintain uniformity in assigning duties to pharmacists in the
railway hospital pharmacies, the authorities have not yet implemented
the order of the Tribunal, alleged Y Govardhan, President, IRPA (South
Zone). The Tribunal issued the order in August 2013.

The
Central Government has been informing the general public that crores
of rupees were spent on salary and pension of Central Government
Employees. In fact the following are facts out of total revenue of
Central Government the share of CG Employees towards Salary, perks and
pension amount is just 10.47 % of the total revenue of the Central
Government which was earlier 16% at the.time of 6th CPC. They are in
forming that 7th CPC will cost exchequer Rs 25,000/ thousand crores
which will effect Central Government finances.
