A diesel rail engine caught fire at a railway yard here today. The engine, which was attacked to a goods train, was being taken for shunting at the railway yard when it caught fire. Though the exact cause of the fire could not be ascertained, Divisional Railway Manager P K Sanghi ordered an inquiry into the incident.

fares of all AC classes will become costlier by more than 3 per cent from
tomorrow. The new service tax of 3.708 per cent, as per the government notification, will be levied on AC First Class, Executive Class, AC-2 tier, AC-3 tier, AC Chair Car and freight. |

government on Monday hiked dearness allowance (DA) by 7 per cent, benefiting its
80 lakh employees and pensioners and costing the exchequer an additional Rs 7,408 crore annually.
The hike will be effective from July 1, 2012, and the employees would be entitled for arrears from this date.

Except Guntur Div. Copies provided to AILRSA and if any counter file are require by AILRSA , would be submitted on 08th Oct..2012...there after final ORDER will be passed by RLC.
