Facing criticism over the delays, the Indian Railways seems to have found a way out — by changing the run-time of trains in its timetable to incorporate the delay, officially.
The Railway Board has recently written a letter to the WR informing it that a decision has been taken to preserve the five narrow gauge lines to promote tourism in the state, the official said.
In a statement on Wednesday, the ministry said that the app will also enable issue and renewal of season and platform tickets, check and load R-wallet balance and help maintain user profile management and booking history.
" It was a landmark chapter in the evolution in the Indian Railways. Its name should not have been changed or rechristened after anybody," lamented noted historian Irfan Habib.
