First class coaches in four pairs of express trains will be replaced with air conditioned three-tier coaches by Railways for operational reasons.
The first class coach will be withdrawn from the 16603 Mangalore Central-Thiruvananthapuram Central Maveli Express which leaves Mangalore Central on August 28 and in the 16604 Thiruvananthapuram Central- Mangalore Central Maveli Express which leaves Thiruvananthapuram on August 29.
The first class coach will be replaced in the 12602 Mangalore Central-Chennai Central Mail which leaves Mangalore Central on August 30 and in the 12601 Chennai Central – Mangalore Central Mail that leaves Chennai on August 29.
The 16628 Mangalore Central- Chennai Central Westcoast Express which leaves Mangalore Central on August 28 will not have a first class coach.
It will be replaced in the 16627 Chennai Central- Mangalore Central Westcoast Express which leaves Chennai on August 31.
The coach will be replaced in the 16630 Mangalore Central - Thiruvananthapuram Central Malabar Express which leaves Mangalore Central on August 30. The 16629 Thiruvananthapuram Central - Mangalore Central Malabar Express which leaves Thiruvananthapuram on August 31 will not have a first class coach.
