Railway union wants pension benefits for new staff

PALANPUR: Western Railway Employees Union (WREU) will continue its efforts to get pension benefits for employees who joined railways after 2004.

This was stated by general secretary of the union J R Bhonsle during his visit to Palanpur on Tuesday.

"WREU has been inexorably functioning as a democratic structure to enable the progress and betterment of the railway employees, railway users and the society as a whole. We are committed to stand by the employees and fight for their rights," he said while addressing the employees who had come from various places in north Gujarat and Kutch.

Bhonsle described former railways minister Laluprasad Yadav as generous and sympathetic minister who never disappointed the railwaymen.
