A cartoon booklet printed and circulated by Safety
Department, Bnagalore division of South Western Railway, which describes that
the accidents are caused due to Running Staff not availing proper rest since
wife ask to go shopping and child ask to play cricket with father, is
incorrect. The booklet does not tell about extended crew link, continuous night
duties, not sanctioning of legitimate rest, periodic rest leave etc. They are
silent about the SPAD Minutes circulated by Railway board.
