Timely action of loco-pilots of a petrol transporting goods train averted a major accident as they stopped the container train at Penugonda station of the district after noticing that there was petrol leak in some container wagons.According to police, the goods train from Mumbai to Bangalore was carrying containers of petrol. The loco-pilots of the goods train noticed the leak and immediately stopped the train.However, noticing that petrol leaking from containers of the goods train, local people in large number got the leaking petrol in plastic buckets and canes and took away. Meanwhile, the police sensing danger of major fire mishap because of leaking petrol, informed the matter to fire and railway officials who took steps to plug the leaks.UNI DP RSA AE 1540
