Chennai: The court of the metropolitan magistrate XIV , Egmore, has issued summons to three executives of Railway Employees Co-operative Credit Society (RECCS) and an ex-Southern Railway sports officer in a complaint filed by a member of the society stating that elections were not held to elect office-bearers.
RECCS chief executive N Manivannan, director and executive committee member Renuka Lakshmi, assistant administrative officer R Eswaran and retired sports officer V Baskaran, have to appear in court on April 29. The complaint was filed by G Sivakumar, a member of RECCS. The society is controlled by sole recognised Southern Rail way union Southern Rail way Mazdoor Union (SRMU). Manivannan is a senior leader of SRMU.
The complainant submitted documents in the court including RTI replies to state that elections were not conducted in 2013 as the society claimed.
