TVC Hungerfast

Dear comrades,

We were in an indefinite fast before the DRM office demanding the atrocities of Vijayakumar to be reined; and takeaway him from the administrative control of loco running staff. We had specifically pointed out that indiscriminate issuance of charge sheets on flimsy ground, totally around 150 be withdrawn. The appeal against several in human punishment be disposed of. The anti Running Staff attitude of the Vijayakumar made our life miserable. 

Yesterday the honourable DRM was pleased to visit our workers who are in Fast in our pandal, and had a discussion with us for around 45 minutes and asked us to meet him in his chamber today at 12.00 hours. 

A delegation met the DRM and insisted to go through all the charge sheets and take an appropriate decision on it, and to dispose several appeals pending before the ADRM/DRM against the inhuman punishment awarded by Vijayakumar. A detailed discussion taken place for around 3 hours with DRM. DRM has appreciated the points that many of the charge sheets are unwarranted and the punishments were harsh and the attitude of the DEE is not good with Running Staff. 

1. Finally it is informed that 63 charge sheets were dropped.

2. 25 charge sheets were disposed of with censure. 

3. Around 16 appeal pending with ADRM/DRM will be disposed of with utmost leniency, without affecting promotion within one month. 

4. And assured that he will personally monitor the activities of DEE/TVC, so as to see there any harsh, in human action will take place in future. 

Considering these positive actions from the DRM, we decided to call back our agitation.
