AGRA: Assistant loco-pilot of newly launched special passenger train between Agra Fort to Etah was injured in an incident of stone pelting on Tuesday evening, when the train was crossing Shivwala Tehu.Irked over no halt at Shivwala Tehu which is close to Barhan Junction, the local residents attacked train. They first burned tyres on the railway track to stop the train.As per railway protection force, a group of 30 odd men were pelting stones at the train aiming at the windscreen when couple of stones broke the glass pane and hit Santosh Kumar forehead, who is an assistant loco-pilot (ALP) of the passenger train. The incident took place at around 8pm near Shivwala Tehu station. 

At the time of incident, chief loco pilot (CLP) P K Dubey had the control of the train.According to Ajeet Tiwari, station officer of Tundla RFP, "We have arrested two men (Shivpal Singh son of Mulayam Singh and Lal Singh son of Saavare Singh) and booked 25 unidentified men under the railway act 153 (Endangering safety of persons travelling by railway by willful act or omission) and 174 (Obstructing running of train, etc)."He said, "The local of Shivwala Tehu were demanding newly launched passenger train halt at station, which the railway had already sanctioned. The attack on train was an intentional attempt to damage the railway property and obstruct the operations by miscreants.""Fortunately, in the attack only ALP was injured but no passenger was hurt. Our teams are working to identify the miscreants, none will be spared who attacked the train," he added.The injured ALP Santosh Kumar is out of danger.The Agra Fort -Etah special passenger train was launched on March 21 and initially had five halts including Agra Fort, Kuberpur, Barhan Junction, Jalesar City and Etah, covering a distance of 96.6 km..
