BENGALURU: Members of the All Indian Loco Running Staff Association have come down heavily on the report prepared on the accident of the Bangalore-Ernakulam Inter-city Express.
Association members have slammed the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) S K Mittal who prepared the report, and have added that the report is baseless and illogical and intended to safeguard the real culprit.
Association president L Mony issued a statement on Friday which said, “The Senior Section Engineer Permanent Way/Hosur has been held responsible for the accident since he enhanced the train speed to normal against the stipulated norms, according to the CRS. This engineer is only a non-gazetted supervisor of Railway track department. It is absolutely not logical and against the truth that he will do so as per his own discretion without the consent and knowledge of his controlling officials.”
