Officials of the meteorological department said Chennai might continue to receive moderate to heavy rainfall till Tuesday.

Due to the heavy rain, Southern Railways has announced fully/partial cancellation of several trains while diverting or rescheduling several others.

Officials of the meteorological department said Chennai might continue to receive moderate to heavy rainfall till Tuesday. The trough of low pressure over the Bay of Bengal will develop into a low pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal by Saturday.

Trains rescheduled

1. Train No.12243 Chennai Central – Coimbatore Shatabdi express scheduled to leave Chennai Central at 07.15 hrs. on 14.11.2015 is rescheduled to leave Chennai Central at 08.00 hrs. on 14.11.2015.

2. Train No.16057 Chennai Central – Tirupati Sapthagiri express scheduled to leave Chennai Central at 06.25 hrs. on 14.11.2015 is rescheduled to leave Chennai Central at 08.30 hrs. on 14.11.2015.

3. Train No.11014 Coimbatore – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus express scheduled to leave Coimbatore at 08.45 hrs. on 14.11.2015 is rescheduled to leave Coimbatore at 15.30 hrs. on 14.11.2015 due to late arrival of pairing train.
