AILRSA Bengaluru Divisional Biennial General Body Meeting held on 24.11.15 at St. Mathews Church Hall, in Bengaluru Railway colony.


The meeting was inaugurated by Com. VJK Nair, State President, CITU. He expressed his anguish on the attempt of the Central Govt to amend the labour laws pushing the workers to more insecurity and reduction in wages to satisfy the multi nationals coming for FDI in India.

Com PS Prasad, General Secretary, Central Govt Employees Co Ordination committee, Karnataka state committee, condemned the retrograde 7th Central Pay Commission report mainly for fixing minimum wage at 18000/- against 21000/- according to the consumer price index prevailing in India. The actual pay hike is only 14.29 as against the propaganda of 23.5. There is a huge difference between minimum wage of 18000 and Cabinet secretaries basic 2, 25000, which is 1:13.8 and ought to be 1:8.

Divisional Secretary Com. A Jayachandran Submitted the working report and Treasurer Com. PD Sunesh submitted the accounts statement. Meeting passed both after discussion.

Meeting decided to organize protest day on 27.11.15 by wearing black badges and conducting gate meeting in front of depots.
