Day after, Indian Railways dismisses plans to remove chain pulling system

Dismissing reports to the contrary, the Indian Railways has said it won't do away with the chain pulling system in train coaches.

Reports add that while Indian Railways is concerned about the growing instances of the misuse of the chain pulling system, it would not be replaced from the coaches. (Reuters)

Dismissing reports to the contrary, the Indian Railways has said it won’t do away with the chain pulling system in train coaches.
The Indian Railways, however, added that it would try to make passengers aware to stop the misuse of the chain pulling system.
A few reports had earlier surfaced that said the Railways had planned to do away with the facility as it was prone to regular misuse and led to loss of revenues.
Reports add that while Indian Railways is concerned about the growing instances of the misuse of the system, it would not be replaced from the coaches.
