INDUSTRIAL TRIBUNAL (NIT)
Every loco running
staff of Indian railway knows that ever since the 6th CPC submitted
its retrograde recommendation for loco running staff, AILRSA had been on war
path with various modes of struggles all over Indian Railway.
AILRSA declared a
two days hunger fast on 25 & 26 November 2009. RLC(C) intervened and called
for conciliation between Railway Board and AILRSA. A number of sittings held
and finally on 11.10.2010 Sri BB Bhatnagar RLC (C) New Delhi concluded the
conciliation as failure, due to the negative attitude of Railway. As a result in January 2012 National
Industrial Tribunal (NIT) was constituted by labour ministry with retired High
Court Judge Sri. Gowri Shankar Sharaff at Mumbai with terms of reference of
Grade Pay, Running Allowance, Onerous duty allowance and revision of HOER.
Terms of
Reference:
1. The Grade Pay of
different cadre in Loco Running Staff should be upgraded adequately to reflect
the status of different pay scale in one.
2. The rate of
Kilometerage should be improved based on RAC 1981 formula.
3. ODS allowance for
all cadre of Loco Running Staff
4. Revision of HOER
in the present context of working
After the
retirement of Justice Gowri Shankar Sharaff Justice Sri. S.P. Mehrotra, Judge, High Court,
Allahabad is appointed.
