Motormen blame the increased stress with
the rising traffic as one of the major cause of such incidents. A
motorman said, “The number of signals and the frequency has increased
drastically over the last one decade. There is tremendous pressure to
reach the destination on time also keeping a tab on the signals which
are after every 100 metres.”
Central Railway has also started yoga
classes for motormen at the Kurla training institute as part of their
training to help beat stress.
