Four trains that presently pass through Podanur Junction will be diverted through Coimbatore Junction from July 1.
Train number 12623 Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram Central Mail that departs from Chennai Central at 7.45 p.m. will arrive Coimbatore Junction at 2.45 a.m. and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 11.45 a.m.
Train number 12624 Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Central Mail will depart from Thiruvananthapuram at 2.05 p.m. and arrive Coimbatore Junction at 11.45 p.m. and arrive at Chennai Central at 7.30 a.m.
Train number 16527 Yesvantpur – Kannur Express will depart from Yesvantpur at 8 p.m. and arrive Coimbatore Junction 3.20 a.m. and in Kannur at 9.20 a.m.
Also, train number 16528 Kannur – Yesvantpur Express will depart from Kannur at 6 p.m. and arrive Coimbatore Junction at 11.35 p.m. and Yesvantpur at 7.40 a.m. Since train number 16527/16528 Yesvantpur – Kannur Express will pass through Coimbatore Junction, the stoppage at Podanur for the above train is cancelled with effect from July 1.
Three trains
Due to change in diversion of trains, the departure and arrival of three trains have been changed.
With effect from July 14, train number 16616 Coimbatore – Mannargudi – Chemmozhi Express will depart from Coimbatore at 12.15 a.m. and arrive at Mannargudi at 7.55 a.m. daily.
With effect from July 4, train number 12682 Coimbatore – Chennai – Central Express will depart from Coimbatore at 11.30 p.m. on every Fridays and arrive at Chennai Central at 7.15 a.m. on Saturdays.
Rajkot Express
Train number 16614 Coimbatore – Rajkot Express will depart from Coimbatore at 11.30 p.m. on every Thursdays and arrive at Rajkot on Saturdays at 7 p.m.
Train number 12511 Gorakhpur – Thiruvananthapuram Express will depart from Gorakhpur at 6.35 a.m. on tri-weekly basis and arrive Thiruvananthapuram at 5.15 p.m., a press release from Salem Railway Division said.
