 Railway Safety Commissioner starts probe into Gorakhdham Exp

Railway Safety Commissioner, North-Eastern Railway (NER) P K Bajpai today commenced his probe into the Gorakhdham Express mishap here on Monday.

More than 28 people were killed and over 100 were injured in the accident after the train coming from Hisar in Haryana collided with a stationary goods train at Chureb station.
According to railway sources, Mr Bajpai has started his probe with taking statements of the railway employees at Chureb station. He will also talk to nearby villagers who were first to reach the spot and helped the passengers.
Railways have also appealed to locals to come before the Safety Commissioner to record their version.
The BJP has also sent a four-member Parliamentary member team led by party MP Jagdambika Pal to investigate into the accident. The team is expected to submit its report within four days time.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi too had sent two Union Ministers -- Union Small and Medium Scale Industry Minister Kalraj Mishra and Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha on Tuesday to investigate into the accident. More UNI MB SW CS1440 NNNN
