Ganeswara Rao new Chief Operations Manager of SWR
Bangalore, May 16:
P Ganeswara Rao has taken over charge as Chief Operations Manager of South Western Railway (SWR).
Rao
takes charge from N C Sinha, who has been transferred on promotion as
additional general manager (AGM), Central Railway, Mumbai (CSTM).
Before
taking over as Chief Operations Manager, SWR, Rao, was Chief Commercial
Manager (Passenger Service and Catering), South Central Railway,
Secunderabad.
A Indian Railway
Traffic Service (IRTS) of 1983 examination batch and joined Indian
Railways in 1985. He did his Post Graduation in Public Policy and
Management and also Master of Science (M.Sc.).
He
has worked in Mysore, Tiruchirappally, Palghat, Madurai and Chennai on
Southern Railway, Hubli in South Western Railway and Secunderabad in
South Central Railway on various capacities.
Earlier, Ganeswara Rao also worked as Chief Freight Transportation Manager, South Western Railway, Hubli.
