Fire in New Delhi-Patna Magadh Express
Patna, Sept 23:
A first class AC coach of New Delhi-Patna Magadh
Express caught fire near Buxar station in Bihar, about 75 km from here
today, but no casualty was reported.
As smoke was
seen coming out from the coach around 11.40 a.m., the driver was alerted
and the train was stopped in between Gahmhar and Chausa station under
Danapur division of East Central Railway Additional Divisional Railway
Manager B.K. Singh said.
There was no report of any casualty, he said.
After
the 12402 Magadh Express was stopped, five bogies including the one
which caught fire were detached, and brought to Chausa station before
fire brigade personnel doused the flame. The cause of the fire is not
yet known, he said.
Divisional Railway Manager-Danapur, N.K. Gupta, rushed to the site along with relief and engineers team.
