Dear Railwaymen,

Do not forget the story of the TIGER that first ate goat, then cow and finally the man in the village. That’s what happening to every railway man now. Look at the multi-s-killing scenario.

What the abbreviation ECRC stands for? Enquiry Cum Reservation Clerk. But with the connivance of AIRF and NFIR now ECRC means Enquiry (cum) Commercial Clerk (cum) Reservation Clerk. The ECRCs are now being forced to issue unreserved tickets from 0600 hours to 0800 hours.

Likewise Trackman does not mean anymore the innocent and ‘CENTURIES-EXPLOITED-GANG MAN’ but Trackman Cum Trolley man Cum Gateman Cum Watchman.

What the abbreviation Ch.OS stands for? This personnel branch ministerial staff man known as Chief Office Superintendent is now in some places being ordered to maintain crores  of Rupees worth stores material (Tool and Plants) as if he is a STORE KEEPER (formerly known as DSK and now as AMM, Assistant Material Manager).

TTEs are forced to man at times 4 to 6 coaches and even TTIs/CTTIs are not spared from doing this job though TTI/CTTI is basically SUPERVISOR, the duties being SUPERVISORY in nature.

AC Coach Technicians are slowly being thrust with the duties of AC Coach attendant due to outsourcing of supply of linen and bed roll to contract workers.

The worst hit are THE STATION MASTERS. They have come to the stage of UTS operators plus PRS and also STATION CLEANING. The DRMs and other inspecting BUREAUCRATS are TORTURING THE SMS BY DEMANDING WHY THEY HAVE NOT CLEANED THE STATIONS.

WHILE THE GROUP ‘C’ STAFF ARE THUS MULTI KILLED the OFFICERS ENJOY WITH LESS WORK.

There was only on COPS (now known as COM) and one DTS, Divisional Traffic Superintendent (now known as Sr.DOM). Now look at the FLEET OF OFFICERS.

Apparently it is evident from the above that the FEDERATIONS HAVE HELPED TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF OFFICERS POSTS WHILE REDUCING THEIR WORK LOAD.

ON THE OTHE HAND THE FEDERATIONS HAVE KILLED THE GROUP ‘C’ INDIAN RAILWAYMEN BY AGREEING TO ADD ALL KIND OF WORKS UNDER THE ALIBI OF MULTI SKILLING AND THEREBY REDUCING THE NUMBER OF GROUP ‘C’ POSTS.

Apart from KILLING YOU, THE FEDERATIONS have slowly reduced your privileges as shown below.

1.  They Railwaymen had 15/13 DAYS CASUAL LEAVE IN THE YEAR 1999 (15 DAYS FOR OPEN LINE AND 13 DAYS FOR OFFICE STAFF). IT BECAME 12/10. MY GOD!  NOW IT IS 10/8. A DAY WILL COME WHEN YOU WILL HAVE NO CASUAL LEAVE AT ALL. YOU CAN IDENTIFY THE BETRAYER? 

2.  The Railwaymen were PROUD OF WORKING IN INDIAN RAILWAYS BECAUSE INDIAN RAILWAY WORKMEN WERE THE THIRD LARGEST SINGLE EMPLOYER UNDERTAKING WORKING FORCE IN THE WORLD- NEXT ONLY TO THE FIRST PLACE-USA ARMY; SECOND PLACE-CHINA ARMY AND THIRD : WALL MART. BUT NOW WE ARE IN THE EIGHTH PLACE. WHILE WORK FORCE IS REDUCED NUMBER OF NEW TRAINS HAVE MULTIPLIED MULTIFOLD. YOU CAN IDENTIFY THE ANTI LABOUR REPRESENTATIVES?

3.  The Railwaymen appointed prior to 2004 had DEFINED AND GUARANTEED PENSION. But the ‘POST-2004-APPOINTEEs’ DO NOT HAVE AN ASSURED PENSION but NEW PENSION SCHEME (NPS). AFTER HAVING ALLOWED ‘NPS’ NOW FEDERATIONS ARE PUTTING A DRAMA OF PROTEST. SHAME! SHAME!! IDENTIFY THE OPPORTUNIST SHOUTING AGAINST ‘NPS’ ONLY TO GET YOUR VOTES IN THE ELECTION.

4.   OUR BONUS IS ONLY A BROAD DAY LIGHT CHEATING. THEY WILL DECLARE 78/79 DAYS SALARY AS BONUS. BUT FIX THE CEILING AT RS.8675/- WHICH WILL NOT WORK OUT IN REALITY EVEN FOR 30 DAYS SALARY.  AGAIN THEY COME AND DEMAND DONATION. A DAY LIGHT CHEATING TOPPED UP BY DAY LIGHT ROBBERY. IDENTIFY THE MERCENARIES.
