HUBLI,

Loco staff demand fulfilment of demands

STAFF CORRESPONDENT
Members of the Hubli division of All-India Loco Running Staff Association, along with their family members, staged a protest outside the office of the Divisional Railway Manager’s office here on Monday to press for the fulfilment of their long-pending demands.

The loco running staff alleged that the apathy of Railway officials had put them under pressure.
The office bearers of the association, along with office-bearers of other organisations such as the Nairutya Railway Employees’ Union, CPI(M) and CITU, who addressed the protesters, said that following frequent railway accidents, the Railway Board had convened a high-level meeting on June 12, 2012 and zonal Railways had put forward various suggestions to improve the situation.
“However, not a single recommendation has been implemented in Hubli division,” the protesters alleged.
