Goods train derails, sabotage suspected

The train, coming from Kirandul to Visakhapatnam, derailed at around 4 AM as the ultras suspectedly removed clips and fish plates over 30-50 metres stretch on the line at Kamaluru, sources said.In a suspected case of sabotage by Maoists to disrupt rail movement, three engines and one bogey of a goods train derailed in Bastar district of neighbouring Chhattisgarh in the wee hours today, railway sources said.
The mishap occurred on the Kirandul-Kothavalasa (KK) line of the East Coast railway, disrupting the movement of trains either ways between Kirandul-Visakhapatnam.



The movement is expected to restore on the line by this evening as the technical staff was already working on it, sources said.
Senior railway officials including the Additional Divisional Railway Manager of Visakhapatnam division, C Madhusudana Rao, has left for the spot to supervise the restoration work, they said.
