The train, coming from Kirandul to Visakhapatnam, derailed at around 4 AM as the ultras suspectedly removed clips and fish plates over 30-50 metres stretch on the line at Kamaluru, sources said.In a suspected case of sabotage by Maoists to disrupt rail movement, three engines and one bogey of a goods train derailed in Bastar district of neighbouring Chhattisgarh in the wee hours today, railway sources said. The mishap occurred on the Kirandul-Kothavalasa (KK) line of the East Coast railway, disrupting the movement of trains either ways between Kirandul-Visakhapatnam. Senior railway officials including the Additional Divisional Railway Manager of Visakhapatnam division, C Madhusudana Rao, has left for the spot to supervise the restoration work, they said. |
