Loco pilots, workshop employees list
demands
STAFF CORRESPONDENT
Members
of the South Western Railway (SWR) branch of the All-India Loco Running Staff
Association (AILRSA) staged a protest here on Wednesday to press for their
demands.
Gathering outside the office of the General Manager of SWR, they
sought implementation of suggestions made by the Railway Board at the meeting
on SPAD (Signal Passed at Danger) held in New Delhi on June 12.
They sought implementation of some of the prominent suggestions
made at the meeting, such as limiting working hours of mail/express train crew
to six hours; reduction of continuous night duties; revision of crew link;
change of crew at divisional jurisdiction; preparation time of two hours at
headquarters and outstations; and calendar day rest (40 hours).
