In a move widely resented in Rail Bhawan, minister Mukul Roy is learnt to have cancelled leave of all zonal general managers, DRMs and other senior officers after the Hampi Express accident.

An internal communication emphasised upon "safety concerns during rush season". Officers who had already made their plans for vacations with their families are now wondering how to make the best of a bad situation.
