Sub: Eligibility of 1^st Class passes to Loco Pilot(Shunting) & Senior Assistant Loco Pilots

Ref: 1. RB Order No. E(W)2008/PS 5-1/38 dated 06.01.2011

         2 .RB Order No.E(GP)2005/2/87 dated 25.04.2011.

         3.RB Order No.E(W)2000/PS 5-1/10 dated 02.04.2012

In terms of Rule 2(j)(ii) of the Railway Servants (Pass)Rules 1986, 30%of the Basic Pay of Running Staff shall be taken into account for deciding entitlement to Passes/PTOs. But running staff are denied of their eligible pass since 2011 even though Railway Board equated running staff with stationary staff as per reference no.2.

Recent Railway board as per reference no.3 has clearly instructed to reckon running allowance for eligibility of pass and still the authorities reluctant to issue 1^st Class Passes to LP(S) and Sr.ALPs. We humbly request your good self to issue orders for implementing the same expeditiously.
