DOUBLE CROSS?  OR DOUBLE AGENT ?

Dear Comrades,

NREU/DREU is the first INDIAN RAILWAY TRADE UNION to protest against the New Pension Scheme (NPS) now renamed as National Pension Scheme. NREU launched campaign and protest demonstrations against NPS-not for the union’s survival like other unions who believe that workers should be tickled SO THAT THEY CAN FISH IN TROUBLED WATERS.  But unlike the self declared ‘labor-care- takers’ NREU and CITU launched nation wide agitation as NPS is not guaranteeing assured /definite pension to the workers at the time of retirement BUT IT IS LEFT TO THE FUND MANAGERS depending upon the market trend.

Speculation rules New Pension Scheme-
Instead an assured Pension is prudent.
An apple in the hand is better than two in the bush.

THERE FORE NREU’s DEMAND IS:

The pension in the new NPS shall be as under.

a)         Fifty percent of the last pay drawn (as is the case in the existing scheme)

b)         The sum worked out by the Pension Fund Managers

Or

c)         Which ever is more (of clause a and b above).

But the shocking truth is that Shri.UMRAOMAL PUROHIT, PRESIDENT OF AIRF and Staff side Secretary of JCM (Joint Consultative Machinery) is one of the TRUSTEES of the present NPS TRUST reconstituted on 26^th March 2010. Thus he is a party to the anti-worker NPS. But Mr.Purohit is conducting signature campaign and demonstrations through affiliated UNIONS and one such CIRCUS is going on in SWR also.

HELLO AIRF PRESIDENT  & STAFF SIDE SECRETARY JCM!

DO NOT TAKE RAILWAYMEN FOR A RIDE!

STOP FOOLING RAILWAY WORKERS!!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH-

RAILWAYMEN ARE NOT PUPPETS IN YOUR HANDS ANYMORE!!
