Respected Sir,

Sub: Notice for 24hrs Fasting from 10hrs on 15^th  Nov 2011

            Being disappointed with delayed action of Railway Administration to resolve our issues of upward revision of GP for ALP and LP of all class as demanded review of rate of running allowances based on RAC 1980 formula and adequate rate of TA and effected with 01.01.06 based on enhance pay and later on enhanced rate of T. A. onerous duty allowance for all the Loco running Staff etc. although all the time Railway Board says that the demands are under active consideration.

            Sir, more than two years have passed but as yet the issues are not solved over and above, all the Central Government employees enjoy the benefit of increased T. A. rate for increasing the DA by 51% but the Running Staff are yet to get this benefit and so Loco Running Staff are becoming frustrated and impatient.  

            Therefore, the Association decided to observe 24hrs Fasting from 10 hrs on 15^th Nov’ 2011 at all the GM’s Office to draw the attention of Railway Board once more to solve the issue before the Association deciding for any hard decision .

            Sir, we are not only very much interested to maintain the Industrial peace in the Railways but proved our sincerity during past two years but expecting the reciprocal response from the Railway Administration too. We hope that by the time the matters will be resolved.  However, incase by the time if matters are not resolved, then this representation may be traded as a notice of fasting for 24hrs from 10hrs on 15.11.2011
