HOER: FACTS AND ROLE OF FEDERATIONS
*Normally Railway worker duty limit is 8 hrs per day /48hrs per week                (Ref: Article 2 of ILO1919)

*The daily limit can cross reasonably in exceptional cases after an agreement between Management and Unions.
(Ref: Article 5 of ILO1919)
*Railway management secured 12/13 hrs duty limit for running staff citing operational difficulties before
Js.RAJADHYAKSHA and Js.N.M.MIABHOY (RLT 69)

*Now Railway management citing 12/13 hours duty limit either extending the crew beat or bye-passing Head Quarters

*Railway management cannot fix daily limit beyond 8 hrs without Federations concurrence
(Ref: Article 5 of ILO1919)
*Loco Running Staff expect Federations to play their role sincerely and responsibly
