Come April, anyone reserving a berth in a train for a child aged five years and above will have to cough up the regular adult’s fare.
The Railways has decided to do away with 50 per cent concession being offered for children in an attempt to augment its revenue.
It claims to have forgone a revenue of over Rs. 500 crore in 2014-15 alone in child fare subsidy.
