Loco pilots keep moving their bosses to hear their woes

  

BANGALORE: All India Loco Running Staff Association (AILRSA) have yet again met the divisional railway manager of South Western Railway S Mani and other top officials to bring to notice the suggestions made by the Railway Board on June 12 in New Delhi on recurrence ofSPAD and accidents caused from it. 


The association members also stressed on the continuous night shifts and calender day rest to be provided for loco-pilots and assistant loco-pilots to allow them fulfill their social and personal obligations. They insisted that night duties should not be more than six hours. 

AILRSA members demanded that drivers should only work on one traction, either diesel or electric, until the entire infrastructure is made into electric. Apart from this their demand on reducing the maximum duty hours for express and mail train loco drivers be reduced to six hours and getting rid of long hood engines persists.
