MARUTI SUZUKI WORKERS ON WARPATH:
On 31st January 2014, Maruti Suzuki Workers, their family members, students and social activists organised a huge demonstration at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi.
This demonstration was an end of Padyatra (foot journey), which had started on 15 January 2014 from Kaithal district in Haryana, under the banner of Maruti Suzuki Workers Union. The demonstration at Jantar-Mantar was well attended by over 2000 participants, who demanded the following actions
• Immediate release of 147 workers, detained in jail since July 2012
• Reinstating of 2300 suspended workers
